Se a animação do cara correndo não condiz com o verbo em questão, vai ser difícil conduzir o player até o fim do jogo. Podem notar, bons jogos tem boas animações. E nem sempre precisa ser Pixar Levels! &lt;i&gt;JatPackJoyRide&lt;/i&gt;, pra iPhone e iPad, por exemplo (DAMN, esse jogo é awesome!!) as animações são super simples! Assim vc não terá buchas pra se preocupar enquanto anima. Eu costumo animar todas as ações do personagem no mesmo arquivo. Assim, caso eu precise de referências de animações anteriores, posso encontrá-las e usá-las com mais facilidade. Nós utilizamos a engine Unity para a produção do jogo. Lá na engine, existe um recurso para objetos importados no formato .FBX para que vc especifíque as nimações das ações com os seus respectivos frames (em números) que serão chamadas por código durante o jogo (não sabe como se faz isso? Escolha uma ação para animar. Esta é uma das etapas mais importantes do processo: A Primeira Pose. Parece óbvio isso mas, a primeira impressão é a que fica... Lembre que uma pose bem expressiva é bom, mas tome cuidado pra não passar do ponto! Como mencionado, a maioria das animações ingame ficam em loop (claro que há exceções). Neste caso, a primeira pose da planta será copiada para o último frame (aí é bom o animador fazer uns estudos de timing para ver onde, ou melhor, quando fica melhor posicionar o último frame do loop). No 3D é fundamental fazer isso com todos os controladores selecionados simultanemente. Isso tbm ajuda vc a controlar melhor o fluxo da curvas. A coisa mais importante (definitivamente) em animação 3D, são as curvas. O gráfico informa os valores da posição de cada eixo de cada um dos controladores das partes do objeto que podem ser animadas. Usando o Maya, a cópia da pose com todos os controladores selecionados deve ser feita na &lt;i&gt;TimeSlider&lt;/i&gt;, mas é no &lt;i&gt;GraphEditor&lt;/i&gt; que vc vai conferir se as curvas sofreram alterações ao longo da cópia. Caso isso tenha acontecido, estabilize-as usando o botão &lt;i&gt;FlatTangents&lt;/i&gt; (primeira opção circulada no topo da tela). Bom, agora que vc tem a primeira pose idêntica à última, vc pode (recomendo que deve) adicionar mas &lt;i&gt;KeyFrames&lt;/i&gt; no meio delas para ter um ponto referencial. Se vc usar as configurções que vem de fábrica para a suavização de curvas, a sua animação vai ficar com a cara de todas as outras feitas pelos seus colegas. Procure entender o funcionamento de cada propriedade daquele controlador. Isso é Supremely Important para que a animação tenha, aceleração, desaceleração, suavidade, impacto ou qualquer outra característica de movimenação da melhor forma possível e, no momento adequado. Em alguns casos, vc precisa deletar keyframes, em outros, adicionar. Tome cuidado ao adicioná-los, pelo menos no Maya. Mesmo que vc tenha selecionado somente uma propriedade, &lt;i&gt;Rotate Y&lt;/i&gt; no caso do exemplo da imagem, se vc pressionar a tecla &lt;i&gt;S&lt;/i&gt; para marcar um key, TODAS as outras propriedades serão marcadas também! (&lt;i&gt;Rotate X&lt;/i&gt; e &lt;i&gt;Z&lt;/i&gt;, &lt;i&gt;Tanslate X&lt;/i&gt;, &lt;i&gt;Y&lt;/i&gt; e &lt;i&gt;Z&lt;/i&gt;, etc...) Isso é ruim, pq se elas possuírem curvas como as do exemplo, essa curvatura será deformada devido a criação de um key sobre a curva (que até então estava livre, sem keyframes). Por isso, tome cuidado! Devemos também, ficar atentos com o tamanho das texturas, uma configuração errada e já pode afetar de forma pertubadora o rendimento do jogo.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left; "&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;     &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left; "&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;    Para poder "texturizar" um elemento 3D, precisa-se antes, criar o UVW MAP de cada elemento tridimensional do jogo. É aconselhável (em minha opinião), que o próprio texturizador extraia os UVW MAPS, também chamado mapa de textura, pois desse modo o texturizador pode deixar as coordenadas do mapa do jeito que achar melhor para o desenvolvimento da textura. Outro membro pode extrair os mapas de texturas dos modelos 3D, sem nenhum problema, desde que crie as UVW Map de forma que o texturizador possa entender perfeitamente.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left; "&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;      OBS: Se for o modelador ou qualquer outra pessoa quem irá criar esse mapas, é aconselhável que essa pessoa  mantenha contato frequente com o texturizador.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left; "&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left; "&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;    Por ser uma etapa bastante trabalhosa, a texturização necessita de muita paciência e dedicação, mas também é bastante vantajosa por dar possibilidade de texturizar, tanto por meio de pintura como manipulação de imagens(muito usado nas criações de texturas com alta quantidade de detalhes, texturas para o estilo real).&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left; "&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left; "&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;    Como citado logo acima, temos de tomar cuidado com o tamanho da textura, pois são mais informações para o computar calcular. Na extração dos modelos e desenvolvimento das texturas, pode-se ter o tamanho que preferir. Sempre é bom extrair em um tamanho que seja 2x maior o tamanho que irá usar (no caso, o normal é 1024 x 1024), para a criação de detalhes mais definida. Depois de criada a textura, basta apenas convertê-la para um tamanho menor, o qual não irá deixar o jogo com baixo rendimento.&lt;br /&gt;     OBS: Para criar esse mapas, use  tamanhos que sejam potências de 2 ex: 512, 1024, 2048, 4096... &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left; "&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left; "&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;  Bom, agora que foi explicado essa etapa, logo abaixo vocês podem visualizar um exemplo de mapa de textura (chamado de UVW Map) e entender porque tem esse nome. Mas ainda existem os mais tradicionais que não dispensam o uso, assim dá para garantir que seus modelos ficarão exatamente da forma como foram pensados. Se há tempo para fazê-los, então faça, é um bom exercício para os desenhistas e para o modelador encarregado, é bom treinar o olho para entender volumes 3D a partir de desenhos 2D.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;A modelagem em si não demorou muito tempo, tivemos um espaço de cerca de 2 dias para cada um. Uns foram mais fáceis e outros mais trabalhosos, então usamos todo tempo disponível para dar uma atenção especial aos 5 principais, já que aparecem o tempo todo.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"&gt;Abaixo segue umas imagens dos modelos finais.
